Have Unhappiness and Loneliness Become Gods?
Have Unhappiness and Loneliness Become Gods That People Keep Feeding
There are so many people who are speaking their mind about how lonely and unhappy they are.
There are many happy people in the world who are attacked by haters for being happy.
I have a feeling that humanity in the most progressive parts of the world have taken or turned their most ardent beliefs into two Gods that are continually being fed and asking for their sacrifices.
I get this has the twinges of the book and show American Gods by Neil Gaiman but let's think about this. I am a firm believer in the Infinite Source of All Things. An invisible, genderless, power that surrounds and fills us and everything we see. That means that everything that makes up this Infinite is within us to learn from and wield; As above, so below.
Every religion's named Gods were named by people and then those people either convinced or forced others to believe and worship those gods by the name chosen. This does not take away from the power of every individual who believes it but it forces the group to lose sight that it was their power that gave the named god life.
So with all the Gods named and people bowing down to their own Infinite Source of power, what happens to the other things people worship?
Let's look at the word: Worship
noun
- 1.
the feeling or expression of reverence and adoration for a deity."the worship of God"
synonyms: reverence, revering, worshipping, veneration, venerating, adoration, adoring,
-olatry, devotion, praise, thanksgiving, praising, praying to, glorification, glorifying, glory, exaltation, exalting, extolment, extolling,
homage, respect, honor, honoring, esteem;More
verb
- 1.
show reverence and adoration for (a deity); honor with religious rites."the Maya built jungle pyramids to worship their gods"
synonyms: revere, reverence, venerate, pay homage to, honor, adore, praise, pray to, bow down before, glorify, exalt, extol;
American Gods shows that people have unwittingly created gods for their, smartphones, networks, media, the highway, etc.
With this logic, have people, through social media, exalted their loneliness and unhappiness so thoroughly and so many people either agreeing that it is something real and painful, that they have become gods of their own?
Do we have a nation of depressed people because so many believe in the same thing at the same time?
Are these people really looking at a false impression or god that has gained power and will not let them go?
It almost seems that the cure is a metaphysical one and nothing you can take or be prescribed. You will have to step out of this unhappiness, loneliness, or both and treat it as an unwelcome guest. Eckhart Tolle, Dr Wayne Dyer and most of the Taoist teachers I read have prescribed becoming aware of the presence of these gods and treating them as individuals you know and love. Love being the key to making them settle down or go altogether. It is you who is lonely and unhappy. Treat them as unwelcome guests but be aware that only loving them will push them back to being random or seldom felt emotions.
There is a tribal indian saying that the god that owns you is the one you feed or something like that. Are people feeding this god because it gains them the attention they need but when they begin to feel good, the god they created doesn't want to die now and begins the pains real or false to get you to continue to acknowledge them?
It's why I believe that demons and devils are nothing more than what humanity created to blame someone else but when trying to do better, that thing turns on them to pull them back in.
It would be nice for people to realize how much power they truly have. It takes willpower to break these gods you created and worshipped by millions because you have to starve them of attention. Only then with time can you be free of them.
Makes me believe wholeheartedly that certain people learned how to control others with fear and intimidation and created the things we are supposed to fear. It is time we bypass the ignorance of the past and learn to worship ourselves in a way that keeps us healthy, positive, and on a good road to our own personal salvation.
Believe in yourself and your connection to the Infinite Source of All Things because that is real and is within everyone and everything you see. Respect yourself and you respect everyone else as well.
Is any of this real?
What is reality anyway?
It just so happens that whatever you choose to believe becomes your life, fate, whatever.
"I am a part of the Infinite Source or God thus making me a god. I have the faith of a god to know that my path has been set and I will see incredible success always despite my setbacks. In fact my setbacks are milestones on my way to my $300 million and the interest that will take care of others forever."
You do yours now!
